Some Michiganders will immediately recognize this popular style of dance club music, which was a typical sound you'd hear in Detroit clubs during the eighties. It uses simple drum patterns and off beat bass lines and has a somewhat gritty, dirty feel to it, which basically can oftentimes describe the largest city in Michigan.
